[VIDEO] POST COVID-19 RESPONSE: Gov. Ayade exempt hotels, taxis, others from paying tax

The Governor of Cross River State, Benedict Ayade, has exempted hotels with the maximum number of 50 rooms, taxis, Okada, and other small scale business in his state, from paying tax.

Governor Ayade said his decision was made to cushion the effect of coronavirus in his state.

To ensure that the tax exemption directives are executed, Governor Ayade, thereafter, inaugurated an anti-tax paying agency, aimed to ensure for the proper execution of tax exemption with no harassment from illegal tax collectors.

The Governor’s decision came after he ordered for the resumption of religious gathering and other businesses in Cross River State.
